Field Day 2014 is June 28-29, we are holding it at Rancho Seco Park this year. This is our 3rd Field Day as a club and our 2nd public Field Day. We have started the planning for Field Day and more information will be posted as it becomes available.
We have reserved two RV sites (16 & 17) and two nearby tent sites. The RV sites are together in kind of a semi circle with tables, fire pit, water and electricity at each site. Using the RV sites would make the trailer totally acceptable. There is a group of trees adjacent to these sites.
The park is locked around sundown. You can leave but will not be able to get back in. The sites are stated to accommodate up to 8 people. However, there is great confusion on how many vehicles per site. It had always been 2 per site but the person at taking reservations says only one per site and $10 for every vehicle beyond one. We are waiting for a call back from a SMUD employee that works at Rancho Seco to see if some accommodations can be arranged. The onsite manager was very accepting of the concept of Field Day and seemed willing to help once we had our reservations.
When: June 28 1100 to June 29 1100
We have the spaces booked from Friday June 27 though the 29th. Some members will be there Friday Night to setup some items. The remaining setup will occur in the morning so show up around 0800-0900 to help with the setup. We will plan to be on the air at 1100 when the contest starts.

Bring your own meet to grill/bbq and bring a side dish to share.
Setup: We currently have 4-5 stations that will be setup. Feel free to bring you equipment if you wish to test an antenna, your radio, powersource, or anything else. We do not have to always run the equipment setup at the main stations.
