(Before you start the net, check the website for current information.  Pass on information at the end of the net that is important like meeting changes, subject for upcoming meeting.  You can also ask for early checkins.  Remind everyone listening to check the website for important club information.)

(Give an announcement at 6:55 pm stating that the net will begin at 7 pm, this gives other HAMs notice that a net will be happening.)

This is [call, name], net control for Elk Grove-Florin Amateur Radio Club, on 147.555.  We will begin our net on this frequency at 7 pm.  Can someone give me a radio check? [call]

Before we begin, if there is any emergency traffic, please come now.  If an emergency should arise contact net control by saying break break, a double break signifies emergency traffic and the net will stand by until the emergency is resolved or traffic is moved to a different frequency.

This net meets every Saturday evening at 7 pm Pacific Time except for the second Saturday of the month when our monthly meeting is held.  The next meeting will be [meeting date] at 7 pm at the Sacramento County Sheriff Station on 65th Street and Florin Rd., at 7000 65th Street.  Current information regarding our club can be found online at egfarc.org.  Check the website for current information about our next meeting and other club activities.  After the roster is completed, I will provide important information regarding upcoming club events.   This evening we will do the regular net on this frequency, then we will move to the N6NA repeater on 145.250 with a minus offset and pl of 162.2 and do another group of check-ins.

This net provides an opportunity for stations in the area to communicate and exchange traffic as needed.  Following check ins, there will be an opportunity for any station to provide information for the net or ask questions.

Because this net is conducted on a simplex frequency, some stations may not be heard by net control.  If a station hears a station not acknowledged by Net Control, please say “RELAY”.  Net control will ask you for the station call sign, name, any traffic, and will acknowledge the station is checked in.

This is part two of the Elk Grove-Florin Amateur Radio Club Net.  This week we will take check-ins from the roster from the simplex net.  Part one of the Elk Grove-Florin Amateur Radio Club Net is conducted on 147.555 begning at 7pm every Saturday except for the second Saturday when our monthly meeting is held.  We meet at the Sheriff Station on 65th Street & Florin Road at 7000 65th Street.  Current information reguarding our club can be found online at egfarc.org.
